1. Data Controller
This Privacy Policy and Disclosure Statement has been prepared by Sivas Municipality, acting as the data controller under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), to inform visitors of the rota.sivas.bel.tr website (the Site).
2. Personal Data Processed
The following personal data is processed through the Site only if you choose to share it:
- When submitting a review/comment: your full name and the comment text you submit.
- In the contact / suggestion-complaint form: your full name, phone number, e-mail address and message content.
- Technical data: for security and statistical purposes, your IP address (stored one-way encrypted/hashed; the raw IP is not kept), browser information and visit records.
- Preference data: settings such as your light/dark theme preference are stored in your browser (localStorage) and are not transmitted to us.
3. Purposes of Processing
- Evaluating and responding to your contact requests, suggestions and complaints,
- Publishing reviews and comments about places (comments are reviewed before publication; your name is masked for privacy),
- Ensuring the security of the Site and preventing abuse and bots,
- Statistical analyses aimed at improving service quality and content.
4. Legal Basis
Your personal data is processed pursuant to Article 5 of the KVKK based on your explicit consent (via the checkbox in form submissions), as well as within the scope of site security and legitimate interest. A form cannot be submitted without checking the consent box.
5. Transfer of Data and Third-Party Services
Your personal data is not shared with third parties except where necessary to provide the service. The Site uses the following third-party services for functionality and security:
- Google reCAPTCHA: used to block bot/automated requests on form submissions; Google's privacy policy and terms of service apply.
- Google Maps / Static Maps: used to generate route and location images.
6. Retention Period
Your personal data is retained for as long as required by the processing purpose and for the legal retention periods prescribed by the relevant legislation; at the end of these periods it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.
7. Your Rights Under the KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it has been, to learn the purpose of processing, to request correction if it has been processed incompletely/inaccurately, to request its deletion/destruction where the conditions are met, and to object to a result arising against you as a consequence of analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems.
8. Cookies
The Site uses essential cookies for session security and core functionality. Settings such as your theme preference are kept in your browser's local storage. You can manage cookies from your browser settings; however, disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
