About

A unique type of hamam—featuring changing rooms, a heating area, and a steam room, though no longer in operation—is located on the western side of Divriği. Because of the soda-rich water flowing from springs on the slopes of the Abıçimen Creek, the locals have named this place “Acı Hamam” (Bitter Bathhouse). The bathhouse was restored in 1667 by Alikayaoğlu Hacı Mehmet. For this reason, it is also known as the Kayaoğlu Bathhouse.
