How to Get There?

It is only 10 kilometers away from the center of the Gürün district in Sivas. You can access Gökpınar Lake from the Çayboyu neighborhood along the Kayseri-Malatya highway. You can reach Gökpınar Lake, which is about 10 kilometers away, by car, minibus, or taxi. Another option is to walk from the Suçatı area. However, this is a long hike and requires a good knowledge of the area. Gökpınar Lake is 146 kilometers from Sivas.

In terms of natural beauty, it is one of the most exquisite places not only in Gürün but in our entire country. Its water is fresh, clear, and clean. Another feature of the lake is that its color changes depending on the angle of the sun. It is named “Gökpınar” (Sky Spring) because of its sky-blue color. The lake, which consists of two parts, has water springing from the base of the surrounding rocks and, in some places, from the lake bed itself. Trout are farmed in the water flowing from the smaller lake, known as Küçük Göl. The larger lake, Büyük Göl, is a popular tourist destination.
