Composed of gabbro-type rocks, the ski resort features ideal geographical and topographical characteristics with a slope gradient of 12–24 degrees. Turkey’s newest, safest, and most affordable ski resort, the Yıldız Mountain Winter Sports Tourism Center, features 5 mechanical lifts, 2 hotels with capacities of 110 and 90 beds, an ice park, a children’s play center, 5 day-use facilities, an artificial snowmaking system, a health center, technical infrastructure and an administrative center building, bungalows, and a police station.
In Yıldız, visitors can enjoy skiing, sledding, and snowboarding in the winter, and horseback riding, cycling, camping, and water sports (boat tours, fishing, and diving) in the summer. Activities available in both summer and winter include ice skating, paragliding, and hiking.
