About

Known as the "Pamukkale of Sivas," Altınkale consists of yellow-colored travertine formations created by the precipitation of high levels of sulfur and minerals found in the region’s geothermal water.

Spanning an area of approximately 40,000 square meters, this formation—with its terraced pools and golden-yellow hue—offers a unique landscape, particularly for photography enthusiasts.

Unlike the waters of Pamukkale, the water here contains high levels of sulfur, which gives it this characteristic yellow color.

The Altınkale area generally serves as a public recreational area, and admission is free (except for private facilities).

Features of the Sıcak Çermik Hot Springs

Sıcak Çermik is not just a scenic spot but also a long-established thermal center known for its healing waters. The water, which emerges from its source at a temperature of approximately 45–48°C, is very rich in minerals. The water is known to be beneficial for rheumatic diseases, joint pain, skin conditions, and digestive system disorders.
