Ayanağa Mansion

The mansion in Divriği was built around 1838 by Mehmed Ağa, son of Karamahmud.

The original layout of the two-story mansion consisted of three main sections: the selamlık (men’s quarters), the mabeyn (intermediate section) overlooking the courtyard at the rear, and the harem extending along the alley further back. However, not only has this original layout not been preserved, but today only a portion of the selamlık section has been restored and opened to visitors. These three sections were connected on both the lower and upper floors by hallways, passageways, and doors; however, this unity and connectivity have not survived to the present day.
