A memorial house has been established in the Şarkışla district of Sivas in honor of General Osman Fazıl Polat, who served as commander of the 28th Division from 1973 to 1975 and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general after participating in the Cyprus Peace Operation (Retired Lieutenant General) is located in the Şarkışla district of Sivas.
