About

The Sivas War Horses Museum consists of 35 galleries spread across 1,800 m² of indoor space. More than twenty silicone horse sculptures are on display in areas featuring information about horses and war horses.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet and his horse Küheylan, Sultan Abdülhamid II and his horse Ferhan, and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his horse Sakarya—the silicone statues and decorative dioramas of these figures are particularly noteworthy. The museum also features silicone statues of the famous Sivas-born jockey Halis Karataş and Boldpilot.

The War Horses Museum, where silicone statues depicting the battle armor, weapons, and harnesses of a Mongol Cossack, a Seljuk Gulam, an Ottoman Sipahi, and a European Knight are on display, also features war weapons and equipment, as well as models and dioramas, harnesses, and various weapons such as arrows, bows, maces, and swords.
